Yeezus recently took Madison Square Garden by storm with the presentation of his third apparel collection and the debut of his new album, The Life of Pablo.
The energy inside MSG on Thursday, February 11, was indescribable. As West entered the event he was greeted by applause and he hugged friends and family who had come to support him. Kanye began his presentation, which was yet again directed by the iconic, Venessa Beecroft, by playing "Ultra Light Beams." The two stages were topped with models sporting clothing from the collection while 1,200 extras surrounded them.
Unlike his first two collections, Season 3 included more than just a neutral color scheme; warm tones such as burnt orange and reds were flawlessly woven in with the expected tans, grays, and blacks. Body-hugging athletic garments and oversized sweats have becomes staples in West's collections, but he also added in a wide array of new pieces such as cropped shearlings and even a pair of transparent booties.
Naomi Campbell also made a surprise appearance on stage, slaying in a jet black coat.
After his presentation, Yeezus promised that Adidas is going to make more Yeezys so they can be more accessible to the public. Also, Yeezy Boost 350s with a pop of color debuted. Overall, Season 3 was the most epic of all of West's collections so far, leaving us wondering what magic he will create next.
