FENTYXPUMA

 

Originally, I was planning to centralize the inception of my contribution to this blog around specific, accessible garments, but then FentyxPuma happened and everything else is irrelevant. Rihanna's first line with Puma debuted last week, featuring a collection of models almost as stunning as the line itself, including both Gigi and Bella Hadid, Imaan Hammam, and Stella Maxwell, all with what appears to be Elmer's Glue pasting back their hair, which for some reason was ridiculously cool. The line is bold. It maintains a level of athleticism while highlighting Rihanna's iconic sleek, gothic edge, aka it's totally badass. The achromatic pieces carry the motif of lace-up details on sporty material. The occasional enormous fur coat draped over thigh-high leather boots and satin boxer shorts gave an opulent feel that was unforgettable. On the whole, this line, which showed just days after the release of her new album, ANTI, really just reiterated what an awesome and holistically talented woman BadGirl really is.
