Sole Classics x Vans Vault

Two weekends ago the good guys at Sole Classics proudly released their second collaboration with Vans Vault. The Sole Classics x Vans Vault Sk8-Hi Reissue Zip LX "A-8SC" pays respect to the great state of Ohio being known as the "Birthplace of Aviation". With over twenty astronauts being from Ohio, it only seemed right that the shoe is ascetically modeled after the space suit. 

Shortly after the announcement of the collaboration, the shoe began generating massive amounts of hype on sites such as theshoegame, highsnobiety, nicekicks and even hypebeast. People from all over the word were able to find out about a shoe that was formulated right here in good old Columbus, which is awesome, but made the shoe extremely hard to cop.

The light blue midsole is craziest part of the shoe for me. Love the red lace option as well.

The translucent sole reveals Ohio in black on the bottom of each shoe.

Sole Classics did a great job with subtle details in this collab as well as their first. The metallic eyelets do a good job making the laces stand out.
