NYFW 2016 Street Style

New York Fashion Week, one of the four major fashion weeks of the world, displayed the newest and boldest trends not only on the runways, but also on the streets. Everyone talks about the million dollar catwalks put on by designers but some of the biggest style impacts come from the streets of New York City. The cold weather did not stop these individuals from rocking high fashion styles. Some prevalent trends were:


1) Boxy Fur Coats:
 These stylish and over-sized coats kept these fashionistas warm and chic.  This statement piece dresses up any outfit. 









2) Minimalism: 
This trend reminds us that simplicity is key.  Channeling their inner minimalist proves less really is more.





3) 70s Vibes: 
 Not only were 70s vibes seen all over designer runways from BCBG Max Azria to Diane Von Furstenberg but also on the streets. 




4) Western Flare: 
This common trend seen on catwalks from Alexander Wang to to Polo Ralph Lauren was seen on the streets through denims and flares.



5) Tennis Shoes: 
Althleisure is in. Tennis shoes allow navigating the streets of New York to be comfortable and stylish. 





6) Bomber Jackets:
 One of out current favorite sporty outer wear trends are bomber jackets. They are perfect for individuals on the go.
